The unique value of Themefield is in the fact that for the first time we created a service which provides efficient filtering of the information received by users from their friends on the user’s page according to their interests. The user can independently select the spheres of their interests, but at any moment they can adjust the filter of the received messages and information search by changing the settings of their profile or directly on their page by clicking on Manage themes.
Posting blog messages on Themefield has a number of peculiarities relating to the information filter existing on the site. Before posting a message the user must mark it by one of the 26 themes according to the main idea of this blog post. Firstly, it allows the author of the message to watch the information value, secondly, due to such labeling of each message, the readers of this message who are interested in the same sphere of life activity will receive the information they are only interested in.
On Themefield there are two possible forms of posting messages: short and extended. The short form of writing and sending of a blog post, which is located on the user’s personal page, is limited with 400 characters. By clicking on More, the user switches to the full form of blog post where the number of characters is unlimited and the previously written text automatically transfers to the extended form. Also, the extended form allows attaching a video (you just have to copy a link), photo and audio (to upload from your computer), as well as setting the privacy of the post. In both forms, before sending a message, the user has to mark it by one of the 26 themes of life activity.
Personal page of the user of Themefield.com consists of friends’ manager (My friends and My readers), quick search all over the site according to any of selected spheres of interests, functional of sending and viewing of posts (My posts, My friends’ posts, Selected, Reading function and Comment a post), personal message service, account settings (profile, avatar, change the password, interests’ manager (Themes), notifications), feedback service with the site administration (Contact us), as well as of search for information all over the site by different parameters.
